Kmana is a small ethical, passionate family run company based in Bali, producing leather travel bags and accessories handcrafted in Bali. They work with small workshops and cooperatives of artisans and respect their ways of working. They promote traditional batik and weaving techniques, which offer income generating activities mostly to middle aged women. The bags are made to last years, even decades; Kmana believe in timeless design and elegance.
Inspired by Bruce Chatwin, a travel writer, Kmana's first collection is a tribute to his spirit. Kmana has attempted to capture the character of one of the last great explorers in the simple, timeless and gender-neutral design of the twelve pieces of Kmana's first collection.
