Kente is an ancient weaving craft from Ghana which has over more than 350 patterns and all have its own meaning. The patterns are created during the hand weaving process and are determined by the manner in which the threads are intertwined. Today, kente has become a universal fabric with varieties of designs and production being advanced to meet miscellaneous tasks and uses.
Our artisan is educated by his grandfather since he was ten years old. He now has his own company with 9 workers and they make handwoven royal kente in any pattern you like.
“ kente is my hobby, kente is my job, kente is my life”
